Your honor, as I have already forefeited my bail amount, and even murderers and child molestors can plead Not Guilty, I believe I have the right to plead my case. My argument consists of three main points. Num 1, this  being the least important, yet still worthy of consideration.  I am not a Glendale resident, I have never been cited for smoking.  I believe my bail amount is unreasonable, to say the least. Num 2, if you'll indulge me, your honor, I would like to pose a question to you so I know how to shape the rest of my defence.  Would define the 2nd floor of the Glendale Galleria parking structure an "enclosed space?" If so, according to Glendale code 8. 52. 060, which prohibits smoking in enclosed spaces, I would like you to consider an experiement:  put one person in an enclosed space with only cigarette smoke.  Put another person in an enclosed space with a running vehicle, and see which individual dies first, and if you dont know the answer dont you think there should a definitive scientific answer? or provide all of us with definitive proof of who dies first.(((((((Fresh air ordance makes no mention of any studies regarding the dissipitation rate of cigarette smoke in the air, compared to the dissipitation rate of the toxins emitted by the exhaust of vehicles, to justify the reasoning behind citing an individual for smoking and not citing him for, using his Hummer as boombox while he leaves the air condition on  driving, or leaving his air conditioning on in his car while he uses it as a boomboxin that same space.)))))))))))))(This law and my citation are completely arbitrary.    If Im cited for smoking in the 2nd floor of the Galleria Parking Structure, then every individual who drives their vehicle through that space should be cited, on account of the CO?, Benzene - a cancer causing toxin that leads to leukimia, And other toxic fumes their vehicle emits.    This citation is completely arbitrary.   "i refute the validity of my citation" If you disagree with my reasoning that if a parking garage and the GG parking structure are both considered "enclosed spaces, then you're admitting  Num 3, while i recieved my citation, i submitted my licence to the citing officers.  My record came back clean.  I don't understand why my body was being patted down for drugs or contraband as people walked by.  All for a smoking citation?  I was offended and humiliated.  And I refute the validity of this citation. Do you agree that if you stand in an enclosed space with only the fumes from a running vehicle permeating the air you breath, that fumes and its toxins will have detrimental effects to your health and may eventually kill you?  (study of car exhaust fumes) 5?  Do you agree its a common method of suicide to sit in an a running vehicle with a tube linking the exhaust of that vehicle inside your car, with the window open? Do you consider that an enclosed space? Your honor, according to the testimony provided by my citing officer, I was cited for smoking in an enclosed space, the term defining both the GG parking structure and even a small garage.  And that standing such enclosed spaces with only cigarette smoke or vehicle exhaust fumes in the air will harm a human being's quality of life. Fresh air ordance makes no mention of any studies regarding the dissipitation rate of cigarette smoke in the air, nor do they compare the dissipitation rate of cigarette smoke in the air with the dissipitation rate of the toxins emitted by the exhaust of vehicles, to justify the reasoning behind citing an individual for smoking and not citing him for,  driving, or leaving his air conditioning on,  his car in that same space.
